Big Beer Dinner and Earth Day

We will be featuring a special menu in honor of Earth Day. We have oysters from Wellfleet, shrimp from Maine, and grass-fed beef from Easthampton and Belchertown. Here a tasty example; Sunderland Butternut squash stuffed with a mix of pork loin from Belchertown and roasted potatoes then topped with fried sage and blue cheese from Great Hill farms, accompanied by sauteed fiddleheads fresh from Hadley. We can't think of a more delicious way to celebrate Earth Day.

We have our Big Beer Dinner coming up on Tuesday the 27th. We will be pairing some of our highest alcohol beers with some tasty creations from Chef Ware. Thanks to the local crop starting to come in we will be featuring Hadley fiddleheads in the salad course. There will also be grilled oysters, marinated flank steak, and prosciutto-wrapped chicken over marscapone ravioli. Top that off with a "dessert flight"; a trio of sweet treats like Black Cat creme brule, porter truffles, and Decadent chocolate mousse and you have the makings for a great dinner. And let's not forget the beer! Different vintages of our Decadent and Imperial Stout, Rabble Rouser barley wine, and Mean Green double IPA so fresh it's finishing fermentation as I type this. This has all the of another epic beer dinner. A few seats are still available, so call today!

Beer Social or Indoor Festival?

We will be hosting a beer social on Wednesday March 31st. Like socials of the past, you'll be able to meet and talk beer with our own Donald Pacher and Dann and Martha Paquette of Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project. Several different delectable goodies will be thoughtfully paired with the 10 beers chosen by the respective brewers. That is what you've come to expect from a beer social, but we want to give you more. We want this to be REALLY social. So we are putting on a beer dinner/festival hybrid. For 2 hours you get to mix and mingle, sample 10 different beers (or 1 beer over and over if you like), and talk about beer. Not to let the food side of the equation lag, there will be food paired with these fine ales, including a table of local breads and cheeses. Some of Chef Ware's creations: seafood bisque with lobster ravioli, Thai peanut bundles, apricot glazed pork ribs wrapped in puff pastry, and even dessert. 2 hours to sample 'til your heart's content (please be responsible) for only $25. It's one meet and greet you won't want to miss. Hope to see you on the 31st!

St Patrick's Day

Come and enjoy an authentic Irish evening this St. Patrick’s Day with Banish Misfortune! They are a 6piece group of musicians in Western Massachusetts who play traditional music from Ireland, with occasional forays into tunes from Scotland and Cape Breton.  Have a pint of our Black Cat Stout and listen to a wonderful “session”.  Our head brewer, Donald Pacher, has also brewed the Steamer.  This seasonal offering is a hybrid lager, which is fermented at ale temperatures.  Dry hopping gives this beer a crisp, refreshing finish.  Only brewed once a year for St. Patrick’s Day so enjoy it while it’s on tap!  In addition, our head chef, Christopher McManus Ware, will be preparing a special menu of traditional Irish fare to accompany the fine ales (and hybrid lager)!   So remember, Wednesday, March 17, Northampton Brewery, 6:00pm-10:00pm!  Hope to see you!

Green Night at the Brewery

On the 2nd Wednesday of every month, the Northampton Brewery is happy to host Green Drinks-Northampton and the Western Mass. Green Consortium (WMGC).  The WMGC meets in the sunroom at 4:00pm for networking, followed by a presentation and meeting.  Green Drinks takes place in our bar and lounge area from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, but there are often folks lingering and networking long after.

The Western Mass Green Consortium is a membership association for businesses, organizations, educators, and individuals committed to environmentally and socially responsible business practices.  Their mission is to promote sustainable business practices, nurture the environmentally committed business sector, advocate for environmentally progressive policies, and improve the environmental profile of economic activity in Western Massachusetts.

Green Drinks-Northampton is an open-format, agenda-less, non-dues-paying, casual meetup for eveyone from seasoned green industry professionals to the green curious.

Both groups are open to the public.  Come on down for some lively discussions, informative presentations and great beer!
